Package Commitment Deadlines
The Package Commitment site for World Class 2024 is now open!
To ensure we have secured adequate hotel rooms, event space, and F&B services, please complete your commitment by 28 May 2024 and ensure that it is included in your F24 Budget Submission.
Why?
In order to drive maximum value for money and in line with Diageo’s productivity agenda, we must make bookings of venues as early as possible to secure the best rates. In order to lead on our productivity principles, we need clarity on numbers and their impact on event costs well ahead of the event.
GUEST INVITATION GUIDELINES
Attendance at World Class Global Finals is a true investment in luxury brand experiences, content, customer networking, and internal capability, so we ask that you consider how attendees from your market might benefit from this experience when building your guest list.
STEP 1: MARKET LEADER REGISTRATION & IDENTIFYING TARGET GUESTS
Ensure your nominated Market Leader (who will manage your package commitments & invitations) has shared their details on the Market Leader Input form
Identify your market guest list with a cross-functional team covering Marketing, Commercial, Advocacy, C&E to ensure you are capturing all relevant personnel. Once you have your guests, develop the criteria and KPIs that will unlock the greatest opportunities for your market.
Guests should be made up with a combination of:
1. Customers (consider the use of incentives)
2. Media & Influencers (consumer focused)
3. Brand Partners
Diageo guests may include:
- Marketing & Commercial Directors
- Reserve Brand & Culture leads
- Luxury leads
- On-Premise Commercial leads
- Brand Ambassadors
- Customer execution leads
Ensure that you are driving impact through attendance by agreeing KPIs or Qualifiers with your attendees.
This will vary depending on their role, but some examples are:
- In-year commercial delivery
- JBP or MBP target delivery
- Content creation/capture/amplification
- Post-event learnings and reporting delivery
- Incentive winners
STEP 2: COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR TARGET GUESTS
1. Identify the best way to communicate with your guests to highlight the exclusivity and prestige of the experience along with the network & capability benefits of attending to ensure a ‘’Yes’’ from those on your target list.
2. Ensure the communication is personal (and ideally face to face) showing the importance of this event to our business.
3. Ensure your invite represents all available activities and benefits the customer will get to experience first-hand by attending the event (e.g. interactive brand pop-ups, masterclasses by the world’s best bartenders, insights into industry trends at the forum, experiencing global-leading brand/customer execution at one of the world’s largest cocktail festivals).
4. Leverage more senior members of the business to extend invites where necessary.
STEP 3: MARKET LEADER & COMMITMENT PACKAGE SELECTION
1. Ensure your Market Leader has completed their registration and can access the package portal.
2. Market Leaders select the number of Bartender/Chaperone and Global Guest Packages they want to commit to via the package portal.
3. Once the number of packages are selected and confirmed via the package portal, Market Leaders will receive and email confirming their selection.
4. Market Leaders will receive an email shortly before the official World Class Registration site is due to open with instructions on how they should invite their guests to register for the World Class event. Our new registration platform will allow Market Leaders to allocate their packages and track their guests' progress through the registration process.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Please note that once you have committed to guest numbers and the 28 May 2024 deadline has passed, they cannot be cancelled. Our event is planned based on the commitment from markets so unfortunately this is non-negotiable and you will be held to your committed numbers and investment.
Guest name changes and substitutions may be made.
Once the event is complete, we will cross charge the total package cost you have agreed to in F25. The majority of recharges will be made in H1, but specific timings will be shared after the event is completed.
